An Introduction to International Programme Accreditation

Date: June 27 - 2024
Location: Online
""

Thursday 27 June, 10:00 - 10:45 BST (Online)

This online event will introduce QAA’s International Programme Accreditation (IPA), providing more information about this new review method and the benefits it can bring to your institution.

IPA offers institutions outside the UK the opportunity to have an independent peer review of their curriculum development and quality assurance process.

The review includes the systematic monitoring and evaluation of learning and teaching, and the processes that support them, to make sure that the standards of academic awards meet the required level, and the quality of the student learning experience is being safeguarded and continually improved. This is combined with a review of individual programmes of study and may lead to International Programme Accreditation by QAA.

IPA benefits higher education institutions by enabling them to analyse and improve the quality assurance systems that safeguard their programmes, which supports development of curricula and helps enable student achievement.

IPA sits alongside other QAA services including International Quality Review (IQR), IQR for ACE Impact, and bespoke training and consultancy, in supporting collaboration between UK and international higher education institutions.
