Assessment Festival 2024

Date: April 24 - 2024

As we head into spring, we at QAA will be marking the return of these warmer, brighter days with our annual Assessment Festival.

From Monday 29 April to Friday 3 May, we'll be hosting a series of daily events centred around all things assessed and assessable.

Each day will foster a particular theme, with the week's events focusing on generative artificial intelligence, innovative approaches to assessment design, postgraduate taught assessment and feedback, a range of approaches to supporting inclusive assessment, and the future of degree outcomes.

The week will feature speakers from a wide range of providers including Bangor University, the University of Bedfordshire, the University of Birmingham, University of Bristol, Bolton College, Central Queensland University, Cranfield University, Curtin University, University of Edinburgh, Keele University, the University of Liverpool, the University of Manchester, the University of Plymouth, the University of St Andrews, the University of Surrey, University College London, the University of Worcester, plus Universities UK.

We will be sharing outcomes from QAA-funded Collaborative Enhancement Projects on topics including competence-based education (led by a team from the University of Hull) and block delivery (led by colleagues at De Montfort University).

'We are delighted to have attracted such an exciting programme of brilliant speakers', says Caroline Turnbull, Quality Enhancement and Engagement Manager at QAA. 'We very much look forward to a week of stimulating debate and opportunities to share and learn from each other’s practice. We look forward to seeing you there!'
