This professional development course will provide a short introduction to the management of academic quality and standards of higher education in the UK. It is intended to serve both as a standalone course for non-specialists or as a starting point from which those with a greater interest in the management of academic quality and standards can progress subsequently.

Who this training is for

• Staff from UK higher education providers (including those offering higher education in the tertiary space) with full QAA Membership
• Anyone new to the higher education sector, whether in an academic or a professional services role.

About the course

This two-hour online workshop will cover:

• why academic quality and standards matter
• some of the main terminology
• who’s who in the sector
• resources that support key processes.

What is the commitment for this course?

Participants must be available for the full duration of this two-hour workshop.

There is no requirement for pre-reading or preparation for this workshop.
