QAA Membership highlights

Date: March 6 - 2024

QAA has shared highlights of a very busy year in which it has supported QAA Members with priority topics including Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), modular delivery, and meeting and exceeding the regulatory baseline.

QAA’s professional development programmes were popular, with more than 450 staff attending one of the 15 courses offered in 2023. We hosted 95 events, including our flagship Quality Insights Conference, Quality Matters Student Conference and Assessment Festival, plus our range of networks for different provider types or individual roles, such as PVC breakfast briefings, Conversations with Quality Leads, Programme Leaders' Network and Student Quality Network.

QAA’s international team published International Insight reports on Hong Kong, Singapore, Pakistan and the Philippines.

We funded 13 new Collaborative Enhancement Projects, including work on block programme delivery, embedding experiential learning, employability, entrepreneurship, innovation and impact in curricula, accessibility, optionality and inclusivity in learning and assessment strategies, academic integrity, educational gain, degree apprenticeships, competence-based education, cultural sensitivity competences, multimodal and multidisciplinary practices, peer evaluation and student-staff collaboration.

We released 10 podcasts, and produced five practical toolkits on:

We also published resources on key and timely topics including educational gain, artificial intelligence and lifelong learning.

Our most recent resources have been our new curated webpages and a Quality Compass on Generative AI, and our Quality Insights Conference at the end of last month, which attracted more than 1,500 registrations.
