Today we are launching the new version of our international institutional accreditation.
Over nearly 30 years, QAA has worked with institutions in the UK and around the world to help them enhance their quality assurance capabilities and maintain their reputation for excellence. Building on this experience, we have developed our new International Quality Accreditation (IQA) which provides a trusted route to international credibility and collaboration through a commitment to quality.
Our new approach:
- puts accreditation at front and centre
- benefits from a more streamlined process
- has a renewed focus on continuous improvement.
These changes will further strengthen how we can help institutions turn quality into a competitive advantage.
QAA International Quality Accreditation gives institutions a globally recognised quality mark, proving they meet rigorous international standards. It boosts their reputation and positioning, builds trust with students and partners worldwide, drives growth through enhanced recognition and internal development, and provides assurance for partnership expansion.
To formally launch IQA, we are holding a special event on 20 April 2026 where we will introduce the new accreditation. Our CEO, Vicki Stott, will also be joined by senior leaders from some of our existing accredited institutions who will discuss how they have benefitted from the process of achieving accreditation and how it has helped them to achieve their strategic goals. Registration is available here.
Speaking about the launch, Julie Till, QAA’s Director of Global Business Development, said: “From speaking with institutions around the world, I know how much accreditation is valued as a mechanism for enhancing and demonstrating quality. IQA builds upon our success to date and will deliver even more impact for providers, and I look forward to working with universities and colleges to support them in their accreditation journey.”
Further information about IQA is available here.
