Meeting regularly throughout the year, each Networking Community is a space to exchange insights, tackle sector challenges, and share case studies. Whatever your institutional role there’s a QAA networking community for you, so get involved and help drive positive change across the sector.

About our networking communities

College HE NC - image

College-based HE often reflects the best of teaching and learning practices from further education, applied to higher level learning. This dedicated space enables higher education, quality and teaching & learning professionals from QAA member colleges to stay informed, connected, and supported in an ever-evolving tertiary education landscape. 

The College HE networking community offers the opportunity to explore the latest policy developments, discuss quality-related priorities, and share effective practice with colleagues in similar roles. Whether you're navigating new challenges or shaping strategic direction, these networking sessions provide practical insights and a strong peer community to support your college-based HE.  

Exec Leaders NC - image

Formally known as the PVC Education Network, this networking community is exclusively for those in Senior Leadership roles and offers a unique space to connect with senior colleagues from across the sector. 

Join a trusted community where you can share strategic thinking, explore innovative approaches to enhancing quality and academic standards, and stay informed of key policy developments. 

Networking sessions offer the opportunity to engage in focused, high-level discussions shaped by the latest sector updates, and supported by QAA’s expertise and insight. 

Exec Leaders (International) - image

Formally known as the PVC International Network, this networking community is exclusively for Senior Leaders overseeing and developing international strategy, provision and partnerships, and offers a dedicated space to explore the evolving landscape of global higher education. 

Bringing together PVC International and equivalent roles, this network provides the opportunity to engage with peers on shared priorities, emerging challenges, and strategic developments in international provision. 

Gain insights from QAA’s global partners, hear updates from key regions of interest, and connect with peers shaping the UK’s international education agenda. 

Independent and Specialist NC - Image

The independent and specialist providers’ networking community provides a dedicated space for the unique perspectives of this group of QAA members to be shared and discussed with peers. Colleagues will have opportunities to connect, share ideas, and engage with the latest developments in higher education (HE) policy and practice. 

Whether your role focuses on quality, teaching and learning, or supporting the management and oversight of HE provision, this community provides a valuable opportunity to share experiences, explore innovative approaches, and stay informed of policy updates. 

 

International Insights NC - image

This networking community brings together colleagues from across the UK who are involved in the delivery and management of international partnerships, offering a space to share practice, explore strategic developments, and navigate operational challenges. 

Open to International Insights and Full International Members, it is designed for heads of collaborative provision, international partnership managers, and those in equivalent roles responsible for shaping and sustaining global partnerships. 

Stay informed on emerging policy, connect with peers, and contribute to sector-wide conversations on developing and maintaining effective and sustainable international partnerships. 

International Members NC - image

A forum for colleagues from member institutions worldwide to connect, share expertise, and explore approaches to quality assurance and enhancement in an evolving international landscape. 

Open to all QAA International Members, this network meets up to three times a year to discuss current priorities, hear updates on QAA’s international activity, and consider developments in global partnerships and quality frameworks. 

Join peers from across the world to share perspectives, exchange best practice, and stay informed of QAA’s international work.

Programme Leaders NC - image

A dedicated networking community of practice for those leading or overseeing undergraduate, postgraduate, or foundation programmes across UK higher education. 

Open to programme leaders, course directors, associate deans, and others in similar roles, this networking community provides a collaborative space to share innovation and effective practice in programme design, delivery, and evaluation. 

Developed in partnership with the University of Warwick, the community offers regular online events and discussion forums where curriculum leaders can share practice, explore innovative approaches, exchange insights, and stay informed of policy.


Student Engagement NC - image

A vibrant space to connect, share perspectives, and engage with the latest developments in student voice, student engagement, and quality enhancement. 

Open to sabbatical officers, student union staff, and colleagues across universities and colleges with responsibility for student engagement, this network promotes meaningful student involvement in quality processes and policy discussions.   

Through regular online sessions, members from across the UK come together to exchange ideas, share innovative practice, and shape thinking on engaging students as partners.
