We will review seven Subject Benchmark Statements in 2026-27.
To ensure that the reviews take into account a diverse and broad spectrum of ideas, opinion and experience, each subject area has its own advisory group, comprising members of the academic community, employers, professional, statutory and regulatory bodies (PSRBs), and students. We have appointed Chairs and Deputy Chairs to lead these reviews.
Those appointed have been drawn from institutions, professional bodies and government representatives from across the UK, following a call for expressions of interest.
Current consultations
We are currently consulting on six Subject Benchmark Statements. Consultations are open to all colleagues from across the higher education sector, including students, staff, professional, statutory and regulatory bodies, subject associations and employers.
Responses should be submitted via the relevant online survey before midday on Friday 13 November 2026.
