New guide to supporting students to step beyond study

In the first of two new practical guides to preparing students for the world of graduate work, the new issue of QAA's Practice Matters offers a set of tips for immediate and medium-term enhancements to allow students to explicitly understand and develop their employability skills – alongside a set of reflective questions to help educators consider their own approaches.

Our top tips include suggestions as to how to enhance the delivery of taught provision through guidance and feedback given to students on their behaviours and skills, and through classroom and independent study activities, as well as specific advice for colleagues delivering work-related learning and placement modules.

Our new issue also suggests points to consider in the development of the content and design of modules, programmes and assessment strategies.
