The impact of inequalities in higher education has attracted increasing attention, particularly concerning degree awarding gaps, student progression, and student experience disparities.

This QAA-funded Collaborative Enhancement Project created an online repository to share case studies and evaluations of support mechanisms and interventions from higher education institutions (HEIs) across the UK, highlighting where racialised degree awarding gaps have been closed through targeted actions or processes.

The repository shares sector-wide best practice, recognising the wealth of knowledge and collective effort of individuals and organisations, and enabling higher education practitioners to avoid duplication while progressing the sector’s commitment to eliminating award gaps.

The resources highlight effective support mechanisms and interventions that have helped close racialised degree awarding gaps, providing academic staff and practitioners with practical examples they can replicate and adapt in their own institutions to promote equity and improve student outcomes.
