QAA Annual Conference 2021

Quality: Resilience, Innovation and Enhancement

Date: May 11 to May 13 - 2021
Location: Online

11-13 May 2021

This year’s Annual Conference will focus on Quality: Resilience, Innovation and Enhancement. How has quality assurance of higher education responded to the COVID-19 pandemic and how do we continue to build resilience, innovation and enhancement into our approach? The conference will bring together, online, thought leaders, decision makers, quality experts and students to share insight and inspiration.

Speakers will challenge thinking on how to create impact through quality assurance, share their vision of how things are changing and the opportunities ahead in the UK and international higher education landscape.

A choice of interactive breakout sessions will explore four themes:

  • Protecting Standards
  • Quality UK - times of change and reform
  • Teaching, Learning and Assessment
  • International Partnerships.

Networking sessions will provide an opportunity to meet colleagues from across the sector. Use the online networking hubs to meet new people (a virtual alternative to the lunch queue!).

New this year are Quality Updates. These short sessions, before and after the main conference programme, provide the chance to find out more about QAA’s latest work.

The conference begins on Tuesday 11 May (9.45-13.30 BST), resumes on Wednesday 12 May (12.30-16.00 BST) and concludes on Thursday 13 May (9.30-13.30 BST).

As a delegate, you will also have the opportunity to join any of the sessions at QAA’s Access to HE Conference that are of interest to you, which will run on 12 May (9.30-12.15 BST) and 13 May (14.00-16.30 BST).

We do hope that you will be able to join us.

Who should attend?

Those with a strategic and/or operational responsibility for ensuring higher education institutions deliver and maintain a high-quality student experience.

It may also be of interest to organisations and employers working closely with the higher education sector.

As with previous years, there are plenty of sessions at the conference that will be of interest to students.
