Thursday 9 May 2024, 09:00 - 10:00

Our PVC International Network provides an opportunity for senior leaders to come together to discuss and collaboratively explore current strategic issues facing UK universities in the international arena.

About this event

QAA’s PVC International network meets three times a year to explore important topics that are of strategic interest to UK universities.

The topic for this session is transnational education (TNE), particularly focusing on risk in TNE.

This session will begin with a welcome and update from QAA’s Chief Executive, Vicki Stott. QAA will then provide an update on Quality Evaluation and Enhancement of UK TNE (QE-TNE) scheme activities, as we approach the end of the third year of the scheme. UUKi will then provide some insights into risk in TNE from their upcoming publication. They will highlight key areas of risk for consideration in the management of TNE and some of the tools that can support capacity building at universities.

There will also be an opportunity for a group discussion on this topic to explore risk management practices at UK institutions.

Please note the online registration closes the day before the event. Please email membership@qaa.ac.uk if you would like to register after the online registration has closed.

Who this event is for

This event is open to PVC International or equivalent roles from QAA Member institutions. Those with responsibility for TNE or international partnerships are also welcome to attend.
