QAA launches 13 new Subject Benchmark Statements

Today sees the launch by QAA of the new editions of 13 Subject Benchmark Statements.
These statements cover a diverse range of fields, including:
- Agriculture, Rural Environmental Sciences, Animal Studies, Consumer Science, Forestry, Food, Horticulture and Human Nutrition
- Anthropology
- Area Studies
- Communication, Media, Film and Cultural Studies
- Creative Writing
- Dance, Drama and Performance
- Health Studies
- Land, Construction, Real Estate and Surveying
- Landscape Architecture
- Optometry
- Osteopathy
- Town and Country Planning
- Veterinary Nursing
Subject Benchmark Statements are used as key reference points by higher education providers for the design, development and delivery of courses for specific disciplines in the UK.
They are formulated by panels of academic experts in their subject areas, with inputs from key stakeholders, including industry organisations and professional bodies.
