Higher education in Morocco - new Country Report available

Date: December 16 - 2022

International Insights Members can find out more about the higher education system in Morocco through our latest country report. QAA publishes Country Reports exclusively for members with the International Insights package.

There has been a steady increase in higher education enrolments in Morocco over the last five years, with just over 1.046 million students enrolling in 2020-21. UK TNE provision in Morocco is small at present, with current and proposed activity focusing on foundation years, dual degrees and some MBA provision.

The country report provides high-level intelligence about the education environment, regulations, challenges and opportunities associated with transnational education (TNE) in Morocco.

The report aims to support International Insights Members with an interest in growing TNE partnerships within Morocco by providing information on:

  • the higher education landscape in Morocco
  • key policy drivers
  • the regulatory landscape and quality assurance
  • international student statistics
  • UK transnational education in Morocco.

In producing country reports, QAA seeks to liaise with local regulators and quality assurance agencies, and other UK sector bodies with relevant expertise. We would like to thank the British Council Morocco for their valuable support in developing this report.
