University of Stirling Students
Katie Parker is the Vice President of Education at the University of Stirling Students’ Union. As a sabbatical officer, she is focused on improving assessment and feedback, strengthening academic representation, fostering a sense of belonging in education, and creating opportunities for students to develop their understanding of artificial intelligence as a skill in an ethical and sustainable manner. Katie is also a STEP student member in the Transforming Assessment and Policy Project and a Student Minds Student Advisory Committee member, contributing to nationwide conversations on AI within mental health support and assessment.
I believe students truly deserve to have a meaningful voice in shaping education. As artificial intelligence and technology continues to develop, students need to be a part of the conversation on how this will affect our education. I am passionate about bringing the student voice to the QAA Sector Advisory Group to ensure that students are at the heart of conversations about assessment, artificial intelligence and quality.
