As part of the Quality Evaluation and Enhancement of UK Transnational Education (QE-TNE) Scheme, QAA has published a new Country and Territory Guide focusing on the Sultanate of Oman.
Oman is the third largest country in the Arabian Peninsula, and is bordered by the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. It has a population of approximately 5.3 million people – of whom roughly 57 per cent are Omanis and 43 per cent are expatriates.
The first priority of its government's national strategic vision envisages a system of inclusive education and lifelong learning designed to promote the development of a knowledge-based society.
Our country guide charts the education system in Oman, entry processes and financial arrangements for study in higher education, the country's classification of private and public HE providers, the laws governing the establishment of foreign provision, and its qualifications framework and quality assurance protocols.
It also details the current state of TNE in Oman, its opportunities and its challenges.
Our new guide is available to QE-TNE participants on our website.
