MÓRRIGAN MCEVOY
Student Officer Accessible Education
Queen's Students' Union, Belfast

Mórrigan McEvoy is the Student Officer Accessible Education at Queen's Students' Union, Belfast. Her work focuses on improving the academic experience of students with disabilities, those from widening participation backgrounds, international students, student parents and carers and those who identify as neurodiverse. Equally, she has placed a specific emphasis on sustainability and environmental activism in her work. Now into her second term, alongside other projects, Mórrigan is focusing on standardising cross-discipline and pastoral supports for students, including assessing if and how generative artificial intelligence education will be embedded into curricula.

I feel that the QAA Sector Advisory Group is the perfect place to ensure that institutions across the UK are all sending out the same message to their students. This is paramount due to the potential unregulated nature of generative artificial intelligence, which needs to be addressed urgently. As a member of the UK Higher Education Quality Council, it has been great to meet regulators and other university representatives to share good practice and learn together, and the QAA Sector Advisory Group feels like another perfect way to make sure student voices are heard by the right people.
