The Academic Integrity Advisory Group informs QAA’s activity in protecting academic integrity. The purpose of the advisory group is to provide expert advice and opinion, on behalf of the sector, on policy development and activities to protect academic integrity in UK higher education.

The remit of the group is to:

  • share good practice in promoting academic integrity and identify areas of existing or potential threat to academic integrity, including offering advice on action to combat such threats
  • promote activity to uphold academic integrity, such as providing information and advice for staff, students and wider stakeholders
  • provide a point of coordination for discussion and action on academic integrity activity in UK higher education.

Group membership

Membership of the Academic Integrity Advisory Group is drawn from institutions who hold QAA membership from across the UK. We aim to include different types of higher education provider.

Our primary aim is to ensure the group includes individuals with expertise in academic integrity who will help to underpin our work to benefit all of our members and the wider sector. Consistent with our embedded approach to student engagement, the group includes two student members, one of whom is a current member of QAA’s Student Strategic Advisory Committee.
