COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – support and guidance

Following consideration at SHEEC the following strands for the 2021/22 Focus On project have been agreed, they are:

  • Understanding methodologies and approaches to professional service review (PSR)
  • Exploring, facilitating and communicating professional service partnerships

The first piece of work is underway, to understand and disseminate methodologies and approaches to PSR. We are in the process of looking through ELIR 4 outcomes to establish where interesting case studies and good practice models lie and undertaking a desk top research exercise to investigate if models can be found more widely across the UK or internationally. From this research we will produce a report for Institutions to reference.

The second resource to be produced will be two podcasts offering the perspectives of our students. The first will explore student perspectives of professional services and how they are reviewed, the second will investigate the impact of professional service partnerships on the student experience.

We are delighted to confirm that the Focus On in person event is back! This will take place at The Studio, Glasgow on Thursday 7 April 2022. The event will reflect on and discuss the project themes and offer a collaborative opportunity for colleagues to examine their own practice and partnerships within their Institution with a view to planning a project or professional service review. Details of how to book will be posted on our news and events pages.
