STEP invites applications for Student Voice Project
STEP is inviting expressions of interest for a Student Voice Project exploring who Scotland's learners are in 2026 and how institutions can better support them throughout their learning journeys.
The project will capture a snapshot of student experiences across Scotland's tertiary sector, reflecting the diverse identities, needs and expectations of learners.
About the project
The successful applicant will gather and analyse student voice data from different institutions, subject areas and SCQF levels, producing two key outputs:
- A creative digital artefact showcasing student voices and experiences, to be shared at the STEP Conference on 26 May 2027.
- A research report presenting the findings and practical guidance to help institutions support students, particularly at key transition points in their learning journeys.
Applicants should have strong research and project management skills, an understanding of research ethics and Scotland's tertiary education sector, and the ability to present findings in engaging digital formats. Applications from colleges are particularly welcome.
