What is Focus On?

Each year, we choose a topic for the Focus On project. We choose topics based on our findings from the Enhancement-led Institutional Review (ELIR). We invite all Scottish higher education institutions and students’ associations to tell us how we can give them the best support around this topic. This guarantees what we do will be useful and relevant.

Why Assessment and feedback?

Assessment and feedback emerged as a key area for development from the ELIR reports. The reports identified a need for universities to develop two main areas:

  1. implementing consistent policy and practice
  2. improving communication with students about feedback.

We invite all Scottish higher education institutions and students’ associations to tell us how we can give them the best support around this topic. This guarantees what we do will be useful and relevant.
