The UK's independent quality body has published Enhancement-led Institutional Review (ELIR) reports on the University of Strathclyde.
The University is commended for working in partnership with its students, establishing strong connections with local industry, and providing opportunities for an international university experience.
QAA appointed a team of six independent experts to review the University earlier this academic year. The team awarded the University commendations in seven areas, including its:
The report also commends the University for its smart use of data to inform decision-making, and its approach to student partnership, including opportunities for student interns.
QAA makes four recommendations for the University including ensuring all postgraduate research students receive formal training before commencing teaching or assessing others; and sharing information with students about the work of external examiners.
Professor Sir Jim McDonald, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Strathclyde, said: 'I am delighted by the outcome of our review.

We continue to enhance our provision in these areas, including through a £1 billion investment in our campus which includes a new Sports and Health centre and a Learning & Teaching building due to open in 2020.

The ELIR confirms that the University of Strathclyde has effective arrangements for managing academic standards and the student learning experience. This judgement confirms there can be public confidence in the University's awards and in the quality of the learning experience it provides for its students.
