About
On 1 September 2024, QAA began undertaking quality assurance activities on behalf of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Our work for the NMC includes:
- providing assurance to the NMC that nursing, midwifery and nursing associate education meets their standards
- conducting approval and monitoring activities of the individual programmes that lead to students being able to register with the NMC
- conducting other analysis to provide insight to the NMC on matters related to quality and standards in education for which they have regulatory responsibility
- quality assurance of the NMC standards of education and training for nurses, midwives and nursing associates.
