Since March, QAA has been producing guidance to support the sector in dealing with the considerable changes it has faced during the COVID-19 lockdown. This has taken the form of initial guidance and more detailed thematic guidance.
We are now beginning to look to the future, with our most recent set of publications providing the sector with guidance to support them in planning for 2020-21 and beyond.

Academic appeals and student complaints
Guidance on how to deal with student complaints and appeals flexibly, at scale, while ensuring the maintenance of quality and standards.
A draft will be published for QAA Members in w/c 20 July with publication on the QAA website currently scheduled for w/c 27 July.
Guidance for smaller, specialist or newer providers of higher education
Guidance for small, specialist or newer providers on how to flexibly and consistently maintain quality and standards. There will also be guidance on effective partnership working while using validating/sub-contracting/franchising agreements to maintain quality and standards.

Guidance on how microcredentials can be quality assured, standards maintained, and integrated into the credit framework.
