QAA Launches HE in FE Practitioner Network
|Date:||February 24 - 2021|
QAA has launched a new network for college-based HE professionals, bringing our members together for key sector updates, practice sharing and discussion. The first HE in FE Network was held earlier this month for Quality Insights College Members across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Ailsa Crum, Director of Membership Quality Enhancement and Standards, provided an update on QAA’s support for members given recent policy announcements and in response to COVID-19. Three member colleges shared aspects of their approaches to the challenges of COVID-19, reflecting on developments in hybrid delivery, working with PSRBs and supporting student progression. The session also provided an opportunity for members to contribute to the development of a revised Higher Education Toolkit, to be published later in the year.
Future HE in FE Practitioner Networks will be open to all QAA College Members and will continue to draw on QAA and member expertise addressing key priorities for quality and standards in an HE in FE setting.
A summary of the discussion and presentations shared by members is available for all staff and students at QAA member institutions who have the Quality Insights enhancement package. It can be accessed on our Membership Resources site. Members can sign up to use the site by completing our simple registration form.
QAA Members who do not yet benefit from the Quality Insights package can contact our Membership Team for more information.
