QAA invites expressions of interest for Chair and Deputy Chair for Subject Benchmark Statement in Public Policy and Public Administration

Date: March 30 - 2023

QAA is inviting expressions of interest from the academic community to act as Chair and Deputy Chair for the development of a new Subject Benchmark Statement in Public Policy and Public Administration.

QAA leads the development of Subject Benchmark Statements and reviews them on a cyclical basis to ensure they are as useful as possible for discipline communities and can fulfil a range of purposes across the sector, including providing support for securing academic standards through course design and review.

QAA is committed to ensuring that the roles of Chair and Deputy Chair reflect the rich diversity of the subject community, with the aim of promoting equality, diversity and inclusivity in the development and content of the Statement.

Dr Ailsa Crum, QAA’s Director of Membership, Quality Enhancement and Standards said: ‘We look forward to drawing upon the expertise of the academic community to help make this Subject Benchmark Statement as useful and relevant as possible. This Statement will offer significant value to institutions teaching Public Policy and Public Administration and we warmly encourage individuals to come forward in support of that. We are grateful to those who contribute their time and effort to creating this important sector reference point.’

Academic representatives will only be drawn from higher education providers who are QAA Members.

More information on how to submit an expression of interest is available on our expressions of interest web page.

The deadline for submissions is midday on 28 April 2023.

The call for expressions of interest to join the subject Advisory Group will be released shortly.
