Date: | October 10 - 2022 |
---|
QAA Members are invited to submit expressions of interest to join the Advisory Groups for the 12 Subject Benchmark Statements due to be reviewed in 2022-23. Advisory Groups play a key role in developing revised Subject Benchmark Statements which serve as an essential resource for their respective disciplinary communities.
Subject Benchmark Statements inform a range of purposes including as reference points in the design, delivery and review of academic courses. We have recently recruited Chairs and Deputy Chairs to lead the Subject Advisory Groups for each of the Subject Benchmark Statement reviews.
Dr Ailsa Crum, QAA’s Director of Membership, Quality Enhancement and Standards commented: 'Our Subject Benchmark Statement reviews benefit from a diverse range of views and expertise across QAA’s Membership. We look forward to working with the Chairs, Deputy Chairs and Subject Advisory Groups in the review of these 12 Statements and I warmly encourage anybody with expertise in the following areas to consider submitting an expression of interest.'
In 2022-23, QAA will be reviewing the following subjects:
- Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Food and Consumer Sciences
- Area Studies
- Communication, Media, Film and Cultural Studies
- Creative Writing
- Dance, Drama and Performance
- Health Studies
- Land, Construction, Real Estate and Surveying
- Landscape Architecture
- Librarianship, Information, Knowledge, Records and Archives Management
- Optometry
- Town and Country Planning
- Veterinary Nursing
Membership of Advisory Groups includes members of the academic community, employers, professional, statutory and regulatory bodies (PSRBs) and students. Academic representatives and current students will only be drawn from higher education providers who are QAA Members.
