Registration is now open for our Evolving Student Engagement Conference 2022.
Evolving Student Engagement is our student-focused conference for QAA Members, primarily aimed at sabbatical officers and staff working in students’ unions, as well as staff working in student engagement and current students themselves.
This year’s conference takes place on Wednesday 29 June and will explore three connected themes:
- the future of student partnerships
- the differential experiences of students
- sense of belonging.
We are pleased to confirm that our keynote speaker is Oisin Hassan, Programme Manager at the National Student Engagement Programme (NStEP) - the leading body on student engagement and partnership in Ireland. Oisin will present NStEP’s Steps to Partnership national framework for authentic student engagement in decision-making and discuss their work to champion partnership between students and staff across higher education in Ireland.
The Conference will finish with an expert panel exploring how belonging, inclusion and mental health interact, discussing key challenges - and possible solutions - to supporting student well-being in 2022-23. Our panellists include:
- Sunday Blake, Associate Editor, Wonkhe
- Megan Brown, Development Consultant, sparqs
- Emily Parkin, Inclusion Practitioner, Northumbria University
- Becky Ricketts, President, NUS Wales
