QAA Annual Conference 2019

The UK Quality Summit: Successful Partnerships

Date: May 7 to May 8 - 2019
Location: Liverpool
Venue: ACC

This year’s UK Quality Summit will focus on the many different strands of successful partnerships that play a key role in the delivery of UK higher education. These will include students as partners, international partnerships, partnerships with other HE institutions, employers and sector agencies.

  • The UK Quality Summit will bring together thought leaders, decision makers, quality experts and students to share insight, inspiration and innovation.
  • Keynote speakers will inspire and challenge thinking on how to create impact through quality assurance and partnerships and explore the very latest in the HE policy landscape.
  • A choice of breakout sessions will enable you to expand your knowledge, gather new ideas and make new quality connections to help you thrive in the changing landscape of UK higher education.

On Tuesday 7 May, registration opens from 12 noon (a light lunch will be available from 12.30), the conference starts at 13.30. A drinks reception with canapés for delegates at the end of the first day until 19.00. The conference will close by 16.15 on 8 May.

Who should attend?

Those with a strategic and/or operational responsibility for ensuring higher education institutions deliver and maintain a high-quality student experience. It may also be of interest to organisations and employers working closely with the higher education sector.

As with previous years, there will be plenty of sessions at the conference that will be of interest to students.

This is what delegates fed back to us about the 2018 conference:

“The event has inspired me to keep driving enhancement in a number of areas at my institution.”

“I feel reinvigorated and more in tune with what is going on in the sector.”

“It was valuable hearing how other institutions are approaching the big current challenges, and I like how developments in the devolved nations and in other countries were weaved in.”

“I came away with ideas and conversations to continue with colleagues from institutions previously not connected with.”

Last year this popular event welcomed over 350 delegates from both the UK and internationally. Delegates included key decision-makers from universities, including vice-chancellors and heads of quality, as well as senior representatives from further education colleges and other providers of UK higher education. Many of our delegates have significant influence on investment in key aspects of the student experience.
