Membership of QAA is voluntary for higher education providers in England. Our work to enhance quality and protect standards in England is funded solely through membership fees. Therefore, to have access to QAA guidance, resources and activities paid for by membership fees, you need to be a QAA Member.
Core Membership includes the essential elements that all UK higher education providers need to deliver high-quality outcomes for their students and ensure that UK higher education maintains its reputation for excellence.
Two enhancement services - Quality Insights and International Insights - focus on the practical application of the frameworks, guidance and projects developed and delivered through QAA Membership.
A detailed description of the guidance, activities and resources for members can be found in our Membership Brochure. There are dedicated brochures for those looking to renew their membership and those who would like to become a new member.
Our Membership Calendar offers a month-by-month guide to the many membership activities planned, across our key areas of interest. This document is updated regularly to include links to upcoming events and published resources.
You can also find out more about each area of membership on our website.
In England, QAA Membership is entirely separate from the statutory review work we undertake as the Designated Quality Body appointed under the provisions of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017.
QAA Membership confirms our commitment to working with our members to develop a tailored, responsive range of services that meet the specific needs of higher education across the UK. Below you will find our membership agreement and the terms and conditions of our membership offer.
