PR, Press and Communications Officer

Salary: £27,373 - £34,480 per annum, dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic PR, Press and Communications Officer, who shares our commitment to improving and promoting the UK's world-class reputation for delivering a quality higher education experience for all students.

This role, within our Governance, Policy and Communications department, is responsible for the operation of QAA's public relations, press office and social media work. The role supports the promotion of QAA's membership services, commercial services and international activity.

We are looking for someone who has experience within a similar role; developing and handling public relations and press work, responding quickly and appropriately to developing situations including liaison with and briefing of senior colleagues.

It's important that you are confident handling national, regional and specialist media enquiries and have excellent verbal communication skills, briefing journalists and other stakeholders on issues relevant to UK higher education.

This is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent role based in our Gloucester office.
