The draft revised handbook for Institutional review was circulated for consultation in May 2009 and respondents were asked to provide comments by the end of June 2009. We received nine responses to the consultation; eight from institutions and one from NUS Wales.
The overall tone of the responses was generally positive. Most of the comments were about the benefit of further clarification in defining collaborative provision and the role of the institutional facilitator. There were some specific comments including the proposals for an annual student statement and the student submission.
All the comments were considered by the HEFCW quality working group when considering the final version of the handbook.

Please note that two corrections were made to the Handbook on 3 March 2010. The date the review report is published now reads ‘plus 23 weeks’ on page 50 and ‘plus 24 weeks’ on page 51.
