safeguarding standards and improving the quality of UK higher education

Reviews and reports

A key part of QAA's role is to review how providers of higher education maintain their academic standards and quality.

QAA carries out hundreds of reviews each year for all types of institutions, including private and overseas providers. For each review a report is published.

You can use this section to search for recent reports.

Search Reports

The most recent reports of reviews of higher education providers are published here. You will need to search alphabetically by the name of the institution. For example, for the University of the West of England, look under W.

Older reports are available on request; please contact us. For Institutional Review (England and Northern Ireland), Review of College Higher Education and Institutional Review (Wales) undertaken between 2012-14 the evidence underlying the findings is available in a separate, unpublished report, which can be requested. Please note that the full body of evidence is not available for any QAA review.

At present, QAA does not review Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). For more information, please read our
position statement (PDF, 68KB).
