Important note

In response to the findings highlighted in this review report, the provider has published an action plan (opens in a new window).

Since the report on Stafford College was published, the review team can now confirm that the College, working in partnership with the student body, has satisfactorily addressed the review team's recommendations relating to the negative judgements on the quality and enhancement of student learning opportunities through the action-planning process. In June 2017 the judgements were amended from 'requires improvement to meet' to 'meets UK expectations'.

Note

On 1 November 2016, Newcastle-under-Lyme College and Stafford College formally merged, with all assets transferring to Newcastle-under-Lyme College. The newly merged group name is Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group.

We visit universities and colleges once every six years to conduct a Higher Education Review of the standards and quality of the education they provide.

We train staff and students from other providers to carry out the review of the university or college and to make judgements on its management of quality and standards, its commitment to the process of improving its systems, and the reliability of the information produced about its provision.

We are independent of government, universities and colleges and our findings and judgements are published here.
