Important note

Since the report on Carlisle College was published, the review team can now confirm that the College, working in partnership with the student body, has satisfactorily addressed the review team's initial recommendations relating to the originally negative judgements on the maintenance of the threshold academic standards of the awards offered on behalf of its degree-awarding bodies, the quality of student learning opportunities, and the enhancement of student learning opportunities, through the action planning process. In April 2016 the judgements were amended from 'does not meet UK expectations' and 'requires improvement to meet UK expectations' to 'meets UK expectations'.

We train staff and students from other providers to carry out the review of the university or college and to make judgements on its management of quality and standards, its commitment to the process of improving its systems, and the reliability of the information produced about its provision.
