UK Quality Code for Higher Education - Chapter B6: Assessment of students and the recognition of prior learning

Publication date: Oct-2013

Category: Higher education reference points

Size: 339KB

The Quality Code is the definitive reference point for all those involved in delivering higher education which leads to an award from or is validated by a UK higher education provider. It makes clear what institutions are required to do, what they can expect of each other, and what the general public can expect of all higher education providers.
This Chapter of the Quality Code deals with the assessment of student learning, both learning which is achieved as part of a defined programme offered by a higher education provider, and learning at the equivalent level achieved outside the defined programme of study. The Chapter covers all forms of assessment used in the context of taught provision, and for the recognition of prior learning.
