safeguarding standards and improving the quality of UK higher education

QAA is seeking to make two key appointments to its Advisory Committee on Degree Awarding Powers

Date 10/01/2018

QAA is now looking to recruit two new members for the Advisory Committee on Degree Awarding Powers (ACDAP).

QAA provides advice on applications from higher education providers for degree awarding powers through its Advisory Committee on Degree Awarding Powers (ACDAP). The Committee provides preliminary consideration to applications and decides whether applicants have made a case to continue to detailed scrutiny. On the basis of detailed scrutiny reports, ACDAP then makes recommendations to the QAA Board on the confidential guidance to be given to ministers, as well as its opinion on whether applicants have met the criteria for the powers applied for.

At this time of great change in higher education, the work of ACDAP is of increasing significance and vital to safeguarding UK higher education's global reputation for excellence.
