QAA Annual Conference: Building on world-class quality

Date 13/03/2017

Booking is now open for QAA's Annual Conference, 'Building on world-class quality', which will take place on 9-10 May 2017 at the East Midlands Conference Centre, University of Nottingham.

The UK higher education sector has a strong international reputation for quality and high standards. As higher education across the UK continues to adapt and innovate, our conference will explore new developments that will keep our sector at the leading edge internationally. We will also discuss the changing regulatory landscape, setting out QAA's agenda for the coming years with the launch of a new strategy for 2017-20.

We have a rich and varied programme on offer this year, with leading international and UK leaders as keynote speakers and a broad range of break-out sessions, covering:

  • transnational education
  • the emergence of global universities
  • degree and graduate apprenticeships
  • changing approaches to degree awarding powers.

The conference will be of interest to anyone with a responsibility for ensuring higher education institutions deliver and maintain a high quality student experience.

QAA subscribers are entitled to two free places, plus one free place for a student, with a range of rates available for non-subscribers. Delegates are also invited to a drinks reception and our 20th anniversary celebratory dinner; Dr Paul Greatrix, Registrar at the University of Nottingham, has been confirmed as our after-dinner speaker.
