About the event
Building on the successes of previous years, we are holding our fifth annual Access to HE Admissions Fair at Central Hall, Westminster on Friday 20 October 2017 from 10am until 2pm.
Over 10,000 Access to HE students study in London and the South East, yet many of these students cannot travel to university open days and other events. This is either because of cost or other commitments. They also often don't have access to the sources of information and advice available to school leavers.
It is important for all applicants to be able to make fully informed choices when making their applications to higher education. This is why we have organised this event exclusively for students on QAA-recognised Access to HE courses.
Over 300 colleges (with, collectively, around 35,000 Access to HE students) are invited to attend the fair. While it is still the case that many Access to HE students need to study close to home, a proportion are prepared to travel further afield. Last year many students travelled hundreds of miles to attend the event.
Who should attend?
We are delighted to offer higher education providers the opportunity to exhibit and speak directly to Access to HE students who are looking to progress to higher education. These students are completing their UCAS application forms. The timing of this event allows you to share with prospective applicants what courses are available to them and explain what studying at your institution is like.
