Professor Noel Lloyd, QAA Board member and Vice-Chancellor
of Aberystwyth University, has been awarded a CBE for services to higher
education in Wales in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
Sir Rodney Brooke, Chair of the QAA Board, said: 'I would like to offer Noel my congratulations. This award recognises his contribution to raising the profile of higher education in Wales.
'Professor Lloyd's dedication to the higher education sector has rightly been recognised.'
Professor Lloyd is the Chair of QAA's Access Recognition and Licensing Committee, and the QAA Advisory Committee for Wales. He is also a member of the Board of the Universities and Colleges Employers' Association (UCEA), Chair of Higher Education Wales (HEW) and a Vice-President of Universities UK.
