A QAA and SRHE joint conference for postgraduate and newer researchers
Wednesday 27 June 2007
Lakeside Conference Centre, Aston University, Birmingham
Conference theme
In an exciting new venture, the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) has joined together with the Society for Research into Higher Education (SRHE) to hold an academic conference on the management of academic standards and quality within higher education. Keynote speakers are likely to include Liz Beaty of the Higher Education Funding Council for England, and Mr Peter Williams, Chief Executive of QAA.
This one-day conference is designed for full-time or part-time postgraduate students who have not yet completed their studies or for newer researchers.
The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers to share their work in a supportive environment, and to engage in a constructive dialogue with officers of QAA as well as senior academics researching this field. It is hoped that all will benefit from reflection on past experiences and consideration of current and likely future developments in quality assurance and enhancement in higher education.
