The Quality Code
The
UK Quality Code for Higher Education gives all higher education providers a shared starting point for setting, describing and assuring the academic standards of their higher education awards and programmes and the quality of the learning opportunities they provide.
It is the core reference point used in all our review
activity and was introduced in the 2012-13 academic year, replacing the Academic Infrastructure.
Other guidance
We also provide a range of other guidance material, for example covering topics as the award of academic credit, the equivalence of qualifications throughout the countries of the UK, and how contact hours and assessment contribute to the quality of your education.
If you are coming from overseas to study in the UK you might also find it useful to visit our
international pages or our guidance on how UK qualifications relate to those in other European countries.
If you need further support with quality enhancement within your institution,
QAA Enterprises can offer training and consultancy.
