Subscriber services

QAA offers an expanding range of services exclusively for subscribers to support the development of high quality, innovative approaches to quality assurance, enhancement and related practices to benefit students.

Subscriber Community

The QAA Subscriber Community is a virtual meeting space where members can easily access relevant quality assurance and enhancement resources, including those exclusively available to subscribers, and share experience, questions and expertise. Membership is open to all staff working within subscribing institutions. New resources are added regularly and a monthly update provides a summary of what's new and what's coming up.

Good practice case studies

These peer-reviewed case studies provide useful examples of current good practice and new ways of working. Designed to share ideas and encourage innovation, they are available exclusively for subscribers through the Subscriber Community.

Following the pilot in summer 2017, future topics will include degree apprenticeships; enterprise and entrepreneurship; student progression and retention; enabling students to develop and thrive; the use of data in internal quality assurance; student engagement; credit transfer; promoting academic integrity; digital literacy; and flexible learning. For more information, visit the good practice case studies section.

International Insights

If you are working internationally and want to know more about a particular country before you consider a new partnership, our International Insights publications will be of interest to you. In addition, a series of webinars has been developed exclusively for subscribers to enable direct engagement and facilitate questions with our partner agencies in these key countries, including China, Hong Kong and Dubai/UAE.

The Quality Enhancement Network

Our Quality Enhancement Network events provide a valuable opportunity to meet colleagues from across the sector to focus on high profile topics relevant to quality assurance. The programme of events for the coming year is available here.

Regional Networks

Currently being piloted, our Regional Networks provide an opportunity to meet quality practitioners locally to share ideas and update knowledge.

Advice and guidance

If you need to find out more about a particular topic, be sure to tap into our growing range of guidance documents and online webinars. With subjects such as the ESG, accelerated degrees, credit frameworks, and data and evidence in the forthcoming webinar schedule, these will help you prepare for the latest developments and hot topics that quality professionals are grappling with.

Focus On

Produced by QAA Scotland, the Focus On programme provides a range of resources on particular themes. Subjects include the postgraduate research student experience, institution-led review, and training and support for postgraduate students who teach.

Enhancement Themes

In Scotland, universities and colleges focus together on a particular Enhancement Theme. Each Theme runs for three years and the resulting collection of papers, case studies and resources provides a valuable source of information and inspiration.

Annual subscriber conference

The QAA Annual Conference brings together experts in quality assurance from across the UK and overseas to discuss the very latest topics of interest, providing an excellent opportunity to network, share, listen and discuss. Each subscribing institution receives two free delegate passes, plus one free student place.

We are constantly updating our services programme. We value your feedback and if you can't find what you need then please let us know.

Additional benefits

In addition to these services, the core subscription currently enables collective sector ownership of the quality architecture, and supports activities that maintain and promote the reputation of UK higher education across the globe. This includes:
