The role of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is to uphold quality and standards in UK universities and colleges. We guide and check the quality of teaching, learning and assessment in UK higher education, because we want every student to have the best possible learning experience.
As part of our student-centered approach we are compiling a list of QAA student contacts - including at least one representative from each university or college.
These self-nominated people will receive consultation briefings, policy documents and invitations to QAA student-focused events. They will be expected to distribute this information to appropriate students within their university or college, as requested.
Who can become a QAA student contact?
The QAA student contact role is expected to be filled by either an elected officer, person on sabbatical or student whose role relates to higher education quality, though the role could also be filled by a member of Students' Union staff who can distribute information appropriately.
How to apply
We invite you to identify a student contact at your institution and to email his or her contact details to Dominic Passfield - including their full name, position and postal and email addresses. We will take a maximum of two contacts per institution. QAA will ask for updates to this contact list yearly.
