What are they about?

QAA is currently consulting on the content of a new Chapter of the UK Quality Code for Higher Education, Chapter B11: Research degrees.

The consultation document, background information and guidance about how to respond is now available

This new Chapter is a revised version of the Code of practice for the assurance of academic quality and standards in higher education, Section 1: Postgraduate research programmes.

As part of the consultation process for this revision, QAA will be holding two consultation events.

These events will bring together representatives from across the UK to share their thoughts on how the section should be updated, and provide comments on the consultation draft. Participants will also have the opportunity to hear about new initiatives and developments in research degrees.

The Glasgow consultation event is supported by Universities Scotland, Glasgow Caledonian University and Edinburgh Napier University.

The programme for the Glasgow event is now available. Registration is free.

The comments raised at our recent London event about Chapter B11: Research degrees are available in the outputs document.
